MEPS IBFT is a system that allows us to transfer money from our Islamic Bank account to another bank account in Malaysia.

It is a very quick and easy way to transfer money without having to go to a physical bank or ATM machine.

How to Use MEPS IBFT

Ok, now we want to explain how to use MEPS IBFT. You can do this easily through Bank Islam branches, Bank Islam ATM machines, or even online banking.

• Bank Islam Branch: If you go to a Bank Islam branch, go to the counter and tell the bank officer that you want to do MEPS IBFT. Tell them the recipient’s information, account number, and the amount to be transferred.
• Islamic Bank ATM machine: You can also use a Bank Islam ATM machine. Enter the ATM card and PIN as usual. Follow the instructions on the screen, enter the required information, and confirm the transaction.
• Online Banking: The easiest way is through online banking. Log in to your online banking account, select MEPS IBFT, enter the required information, and confirm the money transfer.

How Long Does MEPS IBFT Transfer Take?

Usually, MEPS IBFT transfer is very fast. Within a few minutes, your money will reach the recipient’s account.

But, make sure you make the transfer during the bank’s operating hours. If done after operating hours, the transfer may take longer.

How to Transfer MEPS IBFT Bank Islam

Instant transfer method (MEPS IBFT) at Bank Islam ATM:

1. Insert your ATM card into the ATM machine.
2. Choose the language you understand from the options provided.
3. Enter your personal number (PIN) to verify identity.
4. Select Islamic Bank Transactions from the main menu of the ATM machine.
5. In the Islamic Bank Transactions menu, select Money Transfer.
6. In the Money Transfer menu, select Transfer to MEPS IBFT.
7. The ATM machine will ask you to press a button PROCEED if you agree that your name will be disclosed to the recipient if requested. Press PROCEED if agree.
8. Select the account to be debited if you have more than one account in this bank.
9. Please select the type of account to be credited (for example, savings account or current account).
10. Enter recipient bank code that you want to transfer money to, then press the button RIGHT.
11. Enter recipient’s account number and press RIGHT.
12. Enter amount that you want to move, and press RIGHT.
13. Check the transaction details that have been entered, make sure everything is correct. Then, press the button Confirm to complete the transaction.
14. The ATM machine will issue a receipt as proof of the transaction. Take this receipt and keep it as a record.
15. If you have no other transaction to do, press NO to end the transaction session and take your ATM card.

Remember that the transfer limit includes transfers to Bank Islam, IBFT, IBG, and Tabung Haji.

GIRO Transfer (IBG)

IBG is short for Interbank Giro, which means you can transfer money from your Islamic Bank account to another bank account in Malaysia.

It is a safe and cheap way to make money transfers.

How to Use IBG Bank Islam

Want to know how to use IBG? It’s nice! You can do this in several ways:

• Bank Islam Branch: If you like to go to the bank, go to a Bank Islam branch and tell the bank officer that you want to make an IBG. Tell them the recipient’s information, account number, and the amount to be transferred.
• Islamic Bank ATM machine: You can also use Bank Islam ATM machines. Enter the ATM card and PIN as usual. After that, select Giro Transfer (IBG). Follow the instructions on the screen, enter the required information, and confirm the transaction.
• Online Banking: Log in to your online banking account, select IBG, enter the recipient’s information, account number, and the amount of money to be transferred.

How Long Does IBG Take?

Usually, the transfer will take a business day or two business days to reach the recipient’s account. So, if you don’t need it right away, IBG is an ok choice.

How to Transfer IBG GIRO Bank Islam

How to transfer GIRO (IBG) at Bank Islam ATM:

1. Insert your ATM card into the ATM machine.
2. Select the given language.
3. Enter your PIN.
4. Select Islamic Bank Transactions.
5. In the Islamic Bank Transactions menu, select Money Transfer.
6. In the Money Transfer menu, select GIRO Transfer (IBG).
7. The ATM machine will ask you to press a button PROCEED if you agree that the actual charge and time the funds are credited depends on the receiving bank. Press PROCEED if agree.
8. Select the account to be debited if you have more than one account in this bank (if any).
9. Enter the bank code of the recipient you want to transfer money to, then press the button PROCEED.
10. Enter the recipient’s account number and press RIGHT.
11. Fill it in amount that you want to move, and press RIGHT.
12. Check the transaction details that have been entered, make sure everything is correct. Then, press the button Confirm to complete the transaction.
13. Take the receipt that comes out of the ATM machine and keep it as a record.
14. If there is no other transaction to be done, press NO to end the transaction session and take your ATM card.

Money Transfer to Third Parties (Islamic Bank to Islamic Bank)

Transfer of Money to a Third Party in an Islamic Bank refers to the process of transferring money from your Islamic Bank account to someone else’s Islamic Bank account.

So, that means, you want to transfer money in the same bank. Why would you want to do this?

For example, if you want to pay off a friend’s debt or put money in a family account, this method is really easy.

How to Transfer Islamic Bank to Islamic Bank

So, here are the ways to make a Money Transfer to a Third Party (Islamic Bank to Islamic Bank):

1. Insert your ATM card into the ATM machine.
2. Choose the language you understand from the options provided.
3. Enter your personal number (PIN) to verify identity.

10. Enter amount that you want to transfer, and press OK.
11. Check the transaction details that have been entered, make sure everything is correct. Then, press the button Confirm to complete the transaction.
12. The ATM machine will issue a receipt as proof of the transaction. Take this receipt and keep it as a record.
13. If you have no other transactions to do, press NO to end the transaction session and take your ATM card.

Maximum Transfer of IBG, MEPS IBFT and Transfer of Money to Third Parties

The maximum transfer for IBG (Interbank Giro), MEPS IBFT, and Money Transfer to Third Parties at Bank Islam ATM machines is RM30,000.

So, if you want to transfer money in a larger amount than that, you may need to use another method or come to a Bank Islam branch to manage your money transfer.

But for transfers in normal amounts, RM30,000 is sufficient.
